It's Been Awhile

I haven't updated this thing in a while but maybe i will start writing on it again. Brandon and i are expecting again and due in July 2011. the pregnancy has been a little rough but i have gained weight this time unlike with finley so that is a good thing. i will be 14 weeks this sunday and hoping that the pregnancy sickness is on its way out. we are very excited to welcome this new member of our family and looking forward to watching finley transition to being a big sister.

Almost school time...where has the summer gone?

i can't believe it's almost time for school to start again. the summer sure has flown by.  last week i was able to spend alot of time with my brother and sister in law and their son David. Finley and David had a great time getting to know eachother and having a playmate their own size. we also had Finley's pictures taken and they turned out fabulous. here is the link to the photos

....awesome and the photographer was amazing. we will be using her again! other than that, life has been moving along as normal. getting back into the normal grind at work where the students are returning and making my life more hectic. ah well....job security

Where did the month go?

so the letter we were waiting on from fairfield finally came. it just was not what we wanted to hear. brandon has been officially terminated from fairfield and we are now pursuing other options. i just keep praying and hoping something will finally give and things will work out for us.  i continue to take my classes. the most current is the worst so far. this business ethics class might just be the death of me. it's very confusing. 

finley is officially 16 months old. she is still trying to get stable walking all the time. she has 8 teeth with 2 more on the way. she says a new word just about every day i think. duck i believe is the most recent. she is really the joy in my life right now. she always makes me smile and brightens everyday. i can't wait to add another little one into the mix to bring even more joy! plus finley will need a sibling.

Happy June

we are well into june at this point but why not have an entry about the first month of summer. things have been going well. working, school and family is what i live and breathe. everyone is well. it is going to start getting busy at work next week. so much for a relaxing summer. we are still waiting on fairfield to call brandon back. boy do i keep praying. hopefully very soon. that would be fantastic. so for the time being we just keep on keeping on.

well the long weekend was nice, too bad i was sick the whole time. finley had a fantastic time in the pool though. i think that will be her favorite spot this summer. brandon and i both are sunburnt from our couple of hours in the pool on saturday. first time our skin has seen the sun since last year. oh how i love the summer!

Cherish Everything You Have

so today i learned that one of my friends' children has been diagnosed with leukemia. his prognosis is good but this really makes a person stop and think about what they have. do not take anything for granted because it could all be taken away so quickly. cherish everyday that you have with your loved ones and enjoy each others company even when it's hard. please keep little Jackson in  your prayers and hope that the little guy remains strong throughout his treatments.
